GSO at Postdoc Appreciation Week 2025

Im September nehmen wir an der internationalen Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW 2025) teil – mit drei Online-Sessions für Forschende, die ihre nächsten Karriereschritte in Deutschland und darüber hinaus planen.

Unser Programm bietet praxisnahe Einblicke zu wissenschaftlichen Karrierewegen, Networking und beruflichen Perspektiven außerhalb der Wissenschaft:

  • Understanding the German Research System: Ein Überblick über wissenschaftliche Karrierepfade, die Struktur des deutschen Forschungssystems, Fördermöglichkeiten und wichtige Anlaufstellen.

  • Beyond Bragging: Using LinkedIn Strategically (in Kooperation mit Alma.Me): Wie man ein relevantes Netzwerk aufbaut, Karriereoptionen auslotet und eigene Inhalte auf LinkedIn teilt – ohne den Druck der Selbstvermarktung.

  • Careers Beyond Academia: Praktische Tipps, wie sich übertragbare Fähigkeiten identifizieren lassen, Stellenprofile zu verstehen sind, Bewerbungen überzeugen und Karrierewege außerhalb der Wissenschaft aussehen können.

Alle Webinare sind kostenlos und richten sich an Promovierende und Postdocs weltweit.

LinkedIn is more than just a digital CV. If you use it in a targeted way, you can create visibility, facilitate exchange and discover new career paths. This interactive session will focus on how researchers can build a relevant network beyond existing contacts, use LinkedIn for career orientation and CV development, share their own content – without the pressure of self-promotion. For PhD students & postdocs who want to use LinkedIn consciously and strategically, with Dr. Birte Seffert and Dr. Elena Hoffer.
